Already coming to China? In the Greater Bay for work, a fair or a stopover? This journey slots straight into the trip you've planned — or compresses to 2–4 days. The Hong Kong border is under an hour away. Ask us →
The Journey
Golf's biggest stage, an hour from the fair.
Made for travellers already in the Greater Bay — the Canton Fair, meetings in Shenzhen, a Hong Kong stopover. Every course sits within an hour of the border, and the whole journey bolts onto the trip you've already planned.
Day by Day
The shape of the journey.
Three nights, three rounds — off the plane and onto the first tee, with the most famous course saved for last.
GuangzhouNights 1–2
Day 1 Arrive → Round One
Straight off the plane, onto the red cliffs.
Land at Guangzhou Baiyun and drive straight north — Lion Lake is barely an hour from the airport. Play Rick Jacobson's Moon Course, the only course in the world routed across a UNESCO-listed Danxia landform, red sandstone rising over every hole. Then it's the shortest of drives to the Sheraton on the lake below the course — welcome dinner beneath the cliffs.

Day 2 Guangzhou
Old Canton, from yum cha to the Pearl River.
No golf today — Canton's turn. Drive into the city for morning yum cha the way locals take it, bamboo steamers and strong tea, then the Chen Clan Academy and the old Xiguan lanes with your private guide, and the colonial arcades of Shamian Island in the afternoon. As the lights come up: dinner by the river, Canton Tower burning through the dusk, and your bed at the Conrad, high above Zhujiang New Town.

Day 3 Round Two
A Challenge Tour test, then the skyline.
Morning at Foshan Golf Club — a private members' club and home of the European Challenge Tour's Foshan Open, whose eighteenth has staged more than a few closing dramas. Lunch in the clubhouse, then east to Shenzhen. Nothing scheduled tonight: dinner and drinks against the Shenzhen Bay skyline — traditional Canton to modern China in a single day — then out to Mission Hills' own hotel, tomorrow's first tee minutes from your room.

Day 4 The Finale
Finish where golf in China met the world.
The last morning belongs to the World Cup Course at Mission Hills — Jack Nicklaus's flagship at the Guinness-record largest golf club on earth, and the stage of the 1995 World Cup of Golf. Lunch at the club, then a short drive to Shenzhen airport — or straight across the border into Hong Kong.

Red sandstone cliffs, tournament parkland and the largest golf club on earth — all within an hour of each other.

Lion Lake — Moon Course
The opening round could not feel less like city golf. Rick Jacobson's 7,242-yard Moon Course is the only course in the world routed across a UNESCO-listed Danxia landform — red sandstone towers rising sheer above the fairways, the lake below. Ranked China Top 10 and Asia Top 100, an hour north of Guangzhou.
