Exclusive Access

Inside China's best-kept secret.

China's finest courses are private, selective, and rarely open to visitors from abroad. Through relationships built over years, we arrange play where few are invited — from Nicklaus beneath the Great Wall to Coore & Crenshaw on the Hainan coast.

Some doors open only by invitation. Ours have been years in the making.

Club Relationships

Private-club access, by arrangement

Direct relationships with China's most private clubs — and the standing to arrange play where invitations are rare.

Signature Courses

Exclusive clubs. Rare access.

These are the best courses in China, and most stand among the best in Asia. Yet what stays with you is rarely the course design alone — it is the history and culture each club carries, the company you keep in the clubhouse, and the way golf takes a different shape in every region: parkland beneath the Great Wall, fairways under Himalayan snow, linksland on a tropical coast.

Coore & Crenshaw on a wild Hainan coastline — the most exclusive and private golf club in Asia. Clifftop holes, native sand and sea wind have earned it a standing place among the World Top 100, yet almost no one has played it: the club keeps no public tee sheet, and its privacy is the point. The most complete way to experience Golf China.

Signature Experiences

What happens between the rounds.

Arranged privately, through relationships built on the ground — not excursions from a brochure. Each one is set up for your party alone.

Monks in crimson robes walking a sunlit lane at Songzanlin Monastery, Shangri-La
Shangri-La · Yunnan

Dawn prayers at Songzanlin

The hillside lamasery they call the little Potala, before the first visitors arrive — butter tea with the monks as the morning chant begins.

Yunnan · Jun–Sep

The wild-mushroom table

Into the pine forests with a master forager to hunt matsutake and porcini — then watch the morning's haul become dinner at a local chef's table.

Tea on the Tea Horse Road

A wooden boat with passengers gliding under green willows on West Lake, Hangzhou
Hangzhou

West Lake by private boat

A quiet wooden boat and an oarsman who has worked these waters for decades — on the lake at dawn, before it belongs to anyone else.

These are a beginning, not a menu — tell us what your party loves and we'll find its Chinese equivalent.

Where You Stay

Hotels worth the journey in their own right.

Never simply "the hotel near the course." Each journey moves between a handful of carefully chosen addresses — the styles we return to most:

Golden roofs and vermilion walls of the Forbidden City, Beijing
Shanghai · Beijing

City landmarks

Storied addresses on the Bund and beside the Forbidden City — the likes of the Waldorf Astoria's hutong courtyards in Beijing.

Leifeng Pagoda above West Lake, with lotus beds and a wooden boat, Hangzhou
Hangzhou · Kunming

Garden & lakeside estates

Jiangnan calm between rounds — the likes of the Four Seasons on West Lake, all temple bells and still water.

Naxi rooftops in Lijiang with Jade Dragon Snow Mountain glowing at sunset
Lijiang

Mountain retreats

The likes of Banyan Tree Lijiang — Naxi-style villas where the snow mountain fills the window at breakfast.

A tropical golf coastline in Hainan
Hainan

Island hideaways

Barefoot luxury on a tropical coast, minutes from the first tee — the likes of Rosewood on Hainan's shore.

Every stay is hand-picked for your route, your party and the season — at the level of comfort you choose, booked entirely on your behalf.

Beyond Golf

Designed around your whole party.

Golf is the thread — but the journey is bigger. While you play, partners and family have their own days arranged, from private cultural experiences to guides and dining.

A serene garden resort in the mist

For non-golfers

Spa, shopping, tea, design hotels, private guides and relaxed cultural days.

Lijiang old town lanes

For families

A flexible pace, cultural activities, soft adventure and kid-friendly options.

How It Works

Three steps to a private proposal.

No fixed itineraries to choose from — just a conversation, and a journey shaped entirely around you.

1

Tell us the essentials

Your dates, group size and golf level — and anything that matters to your party.

2

Choose your destinations

Pick the regions that appeal, or let us recommend a route based on your timing and interests.

3

Receive a private proposal

A tailored plan with courses, hotels, transfers and cultural experiences, ready to refine.

The Golf China team standing together on a golf course fairway
Who We Are

Built by people who live between two worlds.

Golf China began with a simple observation: the golfers who know the world's great courses almost never know China's — not because the golf isn't there, but because the clubs are private and no one had opened the doors. So we became the first golf travel company dedicated to China, and built the relationships ourselves.

Our team grew up here, plays here, and has spent years moving international travelers through China. Through our exclusive club relationships and a long-standing partnership with China Tourism Group, we have people on the ground in every destination we send you — handling the clubs and the visas, but also knowing which courtyard pours the best pu'er and which stretch of the Wall is empty at sunset. Every enquiry is answered personally, by someone who has walked the route you'll travel.
